About the opportunity: We are looking for a Legal Counsel specializing in IP & Technology Law to join our Legal Team. In this role, you will be responsible for advising the company on all matters relating to intellectual property, technology and data protection law, with a strong focus on IP strategy, IP portfolio management, software licensing, IT contracts, and data privacy. What you will do: * Advise on all aspects of intellectual property law, including trademarks, patents, designs, and copyrights. * Manage N26's global IP portfolio, including prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement. * Draft, review, and negotiate various technology-related agreements, such as software licenses, SaaS agreements, IT service agreements, and cloud computing agreements. * Provide legal support for product development, marketing, and sales initiatives. * Advise on data protection and privacy matters, including compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations. * Conduct legal research and provide training to internal stakeholders on IP and technology law topics. * Collaborate with other members of the Legal Team and cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks. What you need to be successful: * Qualified lawyer with a strong academic background. * Minimum 5+ years of experience in IP and technology law, ideally in a law firm or in-house legal department. * In-depth knowledge of IP law, including trademarks, patents, designs, and copyrights. * Experience in managing IP portfolios, including prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement. * Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating technology-related agreements, such as software licenses, SaaS agreements, IT service agreements, and cloud computing agreements. * Solid understanding of data protection and privacy laws, including GDPR. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Fluent in English and German is a plus.
