Legal Counsel (4 PQE) – Technology & Payments Platform

A fast-scaling Southeast Asia technology platform is hiring its first dedicated Legal Counsel to support its point of sales, SaaS, and merchant-facing financial services business. This is a foundational role for a commercially strong technology lawyer who wants real ownership—building legal frameworks, shaping contract strategy, and partnering closely with product and sales teams in a high-growth environment. The business operates at the intersection of software, payments, and digital enablement. Key Responsibilities: * Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and payment processing agreements. * Providing legal advice and support to product, sales, marketing, and operations teams on various legal matters. * Developing and implementing legal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. * Managing and resolving legal disputes and claims. * Monitoring changes in laws and regulations relevant to the business and advising on their impact. * Collaborating with external counsel when necessary. * Supporting the company’s expansion into new markets. Requirements: * 4+ years PQE as a qualified lawyer, with experience in commercial law and technology. * Experience working with technology companies, ideally within the payments or financial services sector. * Strong understanding of contract law, intellectual property law, and data privacy regulations. * Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. * Experience with Southeast Asia legal landscape is preferred.
