Job Description Lecturer – IT – Software Development Location: Mt Albert, Auckland Full-time | Permanent | On-site About the role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer to lead and inspire students in our Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) programme. Specifically, we are looking for a versatile educator with expertise in Software Development. This role is an exciting opportunity to inspire and prepare students for successful careers in the IT industry. Key Responsibilities * Teach software development courses to undergraduate students, including introductory programming, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering. * Develop and maintain curriculum materials, assessments, and evaluation methods that align with programme learning outcomes. * Provide individualized guidance and support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. * Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching practices and assessment strategies. * Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to curriculum development, and engage in other activities that support the BIT programme. Requirements * Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum 3 years of experience teaching software development courses at the tertiary level. * Strong understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and tools. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to departmental initiatives.
