An exciting opportunity is available for a Civil Leading Hand to join our flexible team based in Townsville. A competitive remuneration is on offer, Monday to Friday roster with Saturdays available.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Work with a team that values safety, respect, and teamwork

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead a crew in daily civil construction tasks including earthworks, drainage, roadworks, and concreting

Work closely with the Site Supervisor to deliver daily targets safely and efficiently

Coordinate on-site machinery and subcontractor activities

Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safety briefings

Promote and uphold a strong safety culture on site

Ensure all works are completed to quality standards and project specs

Assist with hands-on tasks as needed

ABOUT YOU:

Previous experience minimum 3 years as a Leading Hand on civil projects

Strong understanding of general civil works, especially in bulk earthworks and road construction

White Card (Construction Induction) - essential

Operating tickets (e.g. Excavator, Roller, Loader) - highly regarded

Ability to read and work from plans

National Police Check or ability to obtain

Confident communicator and team motivator

Reliable, safety-conscious, and proactive in your approach
