Leading Hand- Fabrication section

About the position This position will be 90% based on the factory floor, 10 % office based, you will be supervising 3 direct reports and dotted line to 15 employees which are made up of permanent and casual employees. This position is Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, over time as required, some requirement to work across afternoon shift when necessary. This position reports to the Production Supervisor. Duties include but not limited to the following: Managing a small team then overseeing operations on the factory floor, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner, providing guidance and support to direct reports, maintaining high levels of quality control and adhering to safety protocols, coordinating with other departments as necessary, performing administrative tasks such as record-keeping and reporting. This position will also be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, conducting regular audits and inspections, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
