Leading Hand - Civil infrastructure project

Connect Resources is an industry leading labour hire brand in civil construction in QLD, WA and NSW.

We are currently looking for Civil Leading Hand, to assist with the day to day running operations of a major infrastructure project in Perth METRO area. The sites is a major roadwork project. You will work under the guidance of the Project Manager, who will be based on site all the time.

You must have prior experience with the process of setting up laser levels for cut and fill jobs on site, as well as for the in grounds work that will follow on from this (stormwater, sewerage and water mains).

You are not necessarily required to operate machines on site, but prior operating experience on machines doing similar work, will demonstrate your ability to lead from the front. Some knowledge of finishing works such as car parks and footpaths will also be important.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the day to day operations on site and reporting back to/liaising with the Site Supervisor/Engineer. You will always have someone senior to assist you on site.
• Ability to read the site plans and set the laser levels accordingly.
• Experience with cut and fill bulk earthworks and be able to ensure this process is carried out efficiently.
• In ground drainage works experience/knowledge.
• Setting up laser levels and working off them and RL knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 12 months experience in the civil space, as a Leading Hand.
• Solid understanding of civil road works
• Laser Level and RL (Reduced Levels) knowledge/awareness.
• White Card.
• Valid Driving License.
