Job description

Role Overview: As a Lead Voice Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing mission-critical voice infrastructure systems. You will guide the Enterprise Voice Engineer team in deploying advanced voice technologies and will collaborate across technical, application, and business teams to ensure high-quality voice solutions that align with organizational goals. Responsibilities: Voice Infrastructure Leadership: Lead deployment and support for voice infrastructure processes and technologies, including CUCM, Unity Connection, and associated voice technologies. Guide the team in the development of robust, scalable, and secure voice solutions. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the long-term voice infrastructure roadmap, anticipating future needs and technology advancements. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute voice strategies that meet business objectives. Technical Expertise: Provide expert-level technical guidance and troubleshooting for voice-related issues. Stay current with the latest voice technologies and best practices, continuously evaluating and recommending improvements. Team Management and Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to the Enterprise Voice Engineer team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. Assign tasks, manage performance, and provide feedback to team members. Project Management: Manage and lead voice infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, networking, and business units, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of voice systems. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to provide project updates, technical insights, and recommendations. Documentation and Compliance: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Ensure voice infrastructure complies with all relevant security and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in voice engineering, with a focus on Cisco technologies. Proven experience leading and mentoring a technical team. Expert-level knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection, and related voice technologies. Strong understanding of SIP, VoIP, and other voice protocols. Experience with voice infrastructure design, implementation, and support. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Cisco certifications (e.g., CCIE Voice, CCNP Collaboration) are highly desirable. Experience with cloud-based voice solutions (e.g., Webex) is a plus.
