Lead Structural Engineer - Aerospace

Role Overview The Engineering Manager for the Structures Group will lead a team of engineers in the design, analysis, and testing of structural components for our launch vehicles and other structures. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: • Lead a team of engineers to develop innovative structural solutions for our launch vehicles and other structures. • Collaborate with other departments such as Propulsion, Avionics, and Software Engineering to ensure seamless integration of structural components. • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports. • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and improvement within the Structures Group. Requirements: • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. • Minimum 8 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry. • Strong understanding of finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and other simulation tools. • Experience with CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor. • Excellent communication and leadership skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
