Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

Senior Engineer - QA Location: Pune The Senior QA is responsible for designing, developing, and executing manual and automated test cases while collaborating with teams to meet business and technical requirements ensuring high-quality software delivery. This role involves identifying defects, analyzing issues, improving testing processes, and contributing to overall product quality. Key Responsibilities : Test Planning and Execution : Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Perform manual and automated testing, ensuring comprehensive test coverage. Analyze test results and report defects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure testability. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools. Verify defect fixes and ensure resolution. Participate in defect triage meetings. Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts. Implement and enhance automation frameworks. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Performance and Load Testing: Conduct performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks and scalability issues. Analyze performance test results and provide recommendations. Reporting and Communication: Provide regular status updates to stakeholders. Prepare test reports summarizing test results and defect metrics. Communicate effectively with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders. Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the testing process. Contribute to the development and implementation of testing best practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and techniques. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and principles. Experience with both manual and automated testing. Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG). Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
