Are you an experienced engineer able to lead heavy machine building projects? Do you enjoy complexity and can you communicate well with engineers? Are you rather busy guiding technology than commercial aspects and matters such as budget management? Then this is your new challenge!
In this role, you are responsible for the construction of impressive offshore cranes. These are custom-made for clients and serve each time for a different purpose. This results in a lot of diversity! As 'technical lead', you keep a close eye on whether a project primarily runs smoothly from a technical perspective.
Naturally, there is more to this challenging role! Sounds interesting to you and do you want to learn more?
Then react immediately!
As Lead Mechanical Engineer (special projects), you are the driving force behind specialized, unique projects. From the very first client contact, you are involved and go full energy to ensure that a concept comes that meets the customer's requirements. You lead a multidisciplinary team, monitor the planning, and switch with the client for technical shaping of the project. You work closely together with the general project manager who primarily monitors progress, oversees budgets, and maintains commercial client contact.
What will you do exactly?
- Realize projects within time and budget;
- Constantly communicate with engineers;
- Oversee and correct technical work where necessary;
- Comply with industrial standards and regulations;
- Monitor project progress and provide updates;
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies;
What do you need?
- A completed technical education (Bachelor or Master) in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable discipline;
- Experience as (Lead) Engineer within the maritime, offshore, or industrial sector, with a focus on unique and complex projects;
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability;
- Excellent communication skills, both internally and with stakeholders.
What can you expect?
- The salary for this role lies between 5000 and 6000 bpm based on 40 hours, depending on your knowledge and experience;
- 40 free days and a pension plan where a significant portion of the premium is paid by the employer;
- You will work in an exciting, technical, and organizational function where you have a lot of freedom to shape your role;
- You will join a company where large projects are designed and built on the same location;
- Opportunity for learning and development within the academy;
- Colleagues who like to play sports, chat or play table football during lunch breaks;
- We promote a forward-thinking hybrid work form, at our office in Zaandam, at home, or on our office in Rotterdam.
What's next? Within four working days, we will let you know if you are eligible for the position. We plan an introductory meeting, digitally or live.
