What you’ll be doing: As a Lead Mechanical Engineer – Hydraulics, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanical engineers to design, develop, test, and deliver hydraulic systems that meet our customers’ requirements. This role is part of our Systems Engineering department, which is responsible for delivering complex systems solutions to our customers. Key responsibilities: • Leading a team of mechanical engineers to design, develop, test, and deliver hydraulic systems • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure hydraulic system designs meet customer requirements • Developing and maintaining technical documentation and standards • Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers • Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation and efficiency What we’re looking for: • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the defence or aerospace sector • Strong leadership and team management skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks) and hydraulic system design tools • Experience working with customers to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet those needs What we offer: • Competitive salary and benefits package • Opportunities for professional development and growth • Collaborative and dynamic work environment • Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid and remote options • Access to cutting-edge technology and equipment • A chance to make a positive impact on the world through your work
