Lead Identity Engineer - HashiCorp

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HashiCorp Developer to join our dynamic Privileged Access Management team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the implementation, administration, and ongoing support of HashiCorp Vault in enterprise-grade environments. This role involves integration with both on-premises and cloud-native applications, driving automation, ensuring scalability, and delivering secure and efficient secrets management solutions. What You’ll Do: * Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of HashiCorp Vault infrastructure. * Manage and administer HashiCorp Vault clusters in both on-premises and cloud environments. * Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline Vault operations (e.g., deployment, configuration, backup/recovery, auditing). * Integrate HashiCorp Vault with various authentication and authorization systems (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory, cloud identity providers). * Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements. * Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for Vault-related issues. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., security, infrastructure, application development) to understand requirements and deliver solutions. * Stay up-to-date with the latest HashiCorp Vault features, security best practices, and industry trends. * Document Vault configurations, processes, and procedures. * Participate in on-call rotation as needed. What You’ll Bring: * 5+ years of experience with HashiCorp Vault, including implementation, configuration, and administration in production environments. * Deep understanding of secrets management principles and best practices. * Experience with identity and access management (IAM) concepts and technologies. * Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python, Go). * Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). * Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure concepts. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. * Relevant certifications (e.g., HashiCorp Certified: Vault Associate) are a plus.
