Lead Developer PHP (m/w/d) - Spryker, Symfony in Hamburg

At Louis, Europe's No. 1 for motorcycle clothing and accessories, we are looking for you as Tech Lead E-Commerce / Lead PHP Developer (m/w/d)!

In this role, you will actively develop our e-commerce platform based on Spryker, bring in new ideas and ensure technical excellence. Whether from our modern office in Hamburg Allermöhe, our city office or partially mobile/homeoffice - you work where you are most productive.

Aufgaben

• Technical Concept & Software Architecture (Spryker)
  You support the Product Owner in evaluating technical requirements and develop concepts for complex features together with the team. You ensure compliance with Spryker architecture and document solutions transparently in Confluence.
• Team Leadership & Code Quality
  You lead the team to write clean, maintainable code according to SOLID principles and relevant design patterns - e.g., through Pair Programming, regular code reviews, and targeted knowledge transfer via TechTalks.
• Automated Testing & CI/CD
  You ensure that our software is secured by automated tests and work together with other Lead Developers and the Operations Team on stable CI/CD processes using GitLab Pipelines.
• Review & Technical Development
  You regularly review together with the team and other Lead Developers our system and software architecture to ensure technical excellence and sustainable development.

Qualifikation

• Backend Expertise & Frameworks
  You bring fundamental experience in PHP and Symfony, and are well-versed with Spryker, at least Symfony. REST/AJAX and common frontend technologies (HTML, SCSS, TypeScript, React, Webpack) are no strangers to you.
• Tooling & Infrastructure
  You work safely with modern tools like PhpStorm, Git, Symfony, PHPUnit, GitLab CI/CD, as well as cloud and messaging technologies like RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch, SQS, RDS, EKS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Code Quality & Best Practices
  Clean Code, SOLID, and design patterns are self-evident to you. You document concepts structuredly and actively share your knowledge with the team.
• Agility & Team Culture
  You have experience with agile software development (Scrum) and bring a high level of initiative, responsibility, and communication skills in both German and English.
