Lead AI Consultant - PE & Value Creation (m/f/d)

About the position

Private Equity needs revenue growth. Not in three years — now. Our PE clients manage portfolios with dozens of investments and are looking for the lever that generates quickly measurable top-line impact. AI is this lever — if someone can really operate it.
You work directly with PE partners and their portfolio companies: You identify where AI generates the greatest commercial impact — whether in sales, pricing, customer retention, or the product portfolio. Then you implement it. Not as a slide. As a system.
This role is for someone who understands the logic of Private Equity — and at the same time knows how to build AI systems that generate real revenue. Anyone who can do both is extremely rare. We are looking for exactly this person.

Requirements

• Background in PE/VC, Value Creation Consulting (OW, Roland Berger, Alvarez & Marsal or similar) or operational in PE-backed companies.
• You understand how Private Equity investors think: EBITDA, multiple, exit horizon, 100-day plan. This is your context, not your foreign word.
• AI is your tool, not your buzzword. You have built systems — automations, data pipelines, revenue tools.
• You can convince portfolio company management AND speak at eye level with the investor team.
• You think in P&L, not in hours booked.
• Fluent in German and English.

Area of responsibility

• You develop and implement AI-powered Value Creation Roadmaps for PE portfolio companies — from opportunity analysis to productive system.
• You work closely with GP teams and Portfolio Company Management — C-Level to Operations.
• You identify and quantify AI levers: Top-Line growth, margin expansion, operational efficiency. In numbers, not in theses.
• You build commercial OS components: AI-powered sales and pricing systems, demand generation, customer retention.
• You recognize patterns across the portfolio and develop methods from them that we can scale.
• You work in small, high-performance teams — AI as your multiplier — and deliver what used to require entire value creation teams.
