Automation QA Lead

**Introduction**

You will work in one of our Innovation Centers for Clients at IBM Consulting (Delivery Centers), where we offer deep technical and sectoral knowledge to a wide range of clients from the public and private sectors around the world. Our delivery centers provide our clients with local technical skills and knowledge to drive innovation and adoption of new technologies.

**Your role and responsibilities**

We are looking for an Automation QA Lead (QA Lead) to act in defining, implementing, and evolving automation strategies for testing. The professional will be responsible for leading automation teams, ensuring continuous quality of deliverables, and integrating modern QA practices into DevOps pipelines.

Responsibilities

- Implement test automation projects, ensuring alignment with product objectives and technical team goals;

- Understand software requirements to define suitable automation strategies for each context;

- Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts (functional, regression, API, etc.);

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous execution and rapid feedback;

- Lead automation teams, technically guiding and ensuring good engineering practices;

- Participate in defining quality standards, testing architecture, and coverage strategies;

- Work with developers, analysts, and DevOps to ensure consistent deliveries;

- Monitor quality indicators and propose continuous improvements for processes and automation,

**Required technical and professional expertise**

Essential Requirements:

- Experience with Selenium for functional/web test automation.

- Familiarity with JUnit for creating and structuring tests;

- Knowledge of quality tools like SonarQube;

- Experience with test management tools like TestRail (or similar);

- Strong ability to define automation strategies, including architecture, standards, and frameworks;

- Experience in integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, preferably on GitHub (GitHub Actions);

- Understanding of DevOps practices to support continuous testing;

- Familiarity with Azure for executing tests, pipelines, or distributed environments;

- Proven experience in technical leadership, supporting QA teams, and conducting good engineering practices.
