Job description

My client is a progressive and growing full-service law firm with a strong presence in the Bay of Plenty. With more than 160 people across multiple offices, they are one of the largest regional practices in New Zealand, offering high-quality legal services in a collaborative and supportive environment.
They are seeking an experienced and motivated solicitor with at least 4 years’ PQE to join their busy Property & Commercial team in Tauranga. This is an opportunity to take on varied and challenging work while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of the Bay of Plenty.
About the Role You will be part of a friendly and collegial team working across a broad range of matters, including:
  • Property and commercial work, including acting for landlords and property owners
  • Property transactions and subdivisions/developments – residential, commercial, and rural
  • Rural property matters, with a strong focus on the kiwifruit industry
  • Business transactions, including the sale and purchase of businesses and shares
  • Estate planning and asset protection, including succession planning and trust structures
The team includes lawyers, legal executives, and support staff at all stages of their careers, providing a supportive environment for collaboration and growth.
What They’re Looking For
  • New Zealand admitted lawyer with 4+ years’ PQE
  • Strong property law experience, ideally with exposure to commercial matters
  • Trust and estate planning knowledge would be an advantage
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to provide practical, client-focused solutions
  • Excellent technical, written and communication skills
  • A down-to-earth, collaborative approach and strong work ethic
