Language Technology Manager (m/f/d) – Munich | Full-time | Home Office

On behalf of our partner company in Munich, we are looking for you as a "Language Technology Manager (m/f/d)" for the earliest possible start date.

Responsibilities

• As a Translation Manager (m/f/d), you will coordinate translation projects and manage collaboration with internal specialist departments and external language service providers.
• You will also maintain and develop Translation Memories, terminology databases, and glossaries, ensuring the consistent use of technical terms.
• Furthermore, you will optimize and standardize processes in translation and terminology management and further develop quality assurance for source and target texts.
• In addition, you will design digital and automated solutions for modern language processes, also using AI-based language technologies.
• You will observe and evaluate developments around machine translation, Large Language Models, and other language technologies, and transfer suitable approaches into practice.

Qualifications

• A degree in Translation, Technical Communication, Computational Linguistics, or a comparable language- or technology-related field forms the basis.
• Professional experience as a Translation Manager (m/f/d), Terminology Manager (m/f/d), or Translator (m/f/d) with responsibility for translation and language processes is particularly suitable.
• You have experience in translation and terminology management as well as project management and are proficient in using CAT tools like Trados.
• In addition, you have knowledge of machine translation and AI-supported language solutions and are interested in Large Language Models and automation.
• Very good German and English skills, high textual proficiency, strong IT affinity, and an interest in technically demanding products and content are important.
