Labourer

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Labourer (Non-Ferrous Receiver) to join our non-ferrous metals department at our Sainte-Sophie site. You will play a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of our facility. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a strong work ethic.

What you will be responsible for:

• Inspect, sort, and separate different ferrous materials, removing all non-recyclable components
• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move materials within the facility
• Operate a front loader to safely receive and unload customer materials, including moving materials around the yard
• Assist in processing metal through cutting, shearing, and shredding equipment to prepare for further processing
• Maintain accurate inventory and grading records using phones or tablets
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment
• Provide excellent customer service while working with members of the public
