Responsibilities

• Technical and organizational leadership of the laboratory with responsibility for smooth day-to-day operations.
• Planning, prioritizing, and coordinating laboratory tasks, including resource and capacity management.
• Ensuring the quality and traceability of measurement and test results according to applicable standards and specifications.
• Monitoring and optimizing laboratory processes, methods, and work instructions for continuous improvement.
• Conducting and evaluating laboratory tests and taking over the technical assessment in the results process.
• Coordinating maintenance, calibration, and servicing of relevant equipment in coordination with internal and external parties.
• Technical leadership, instruction, and further development of employees in the laboratory area.
• Participation in audits, deviation management, CAPA topics, as well as documentation and training processes.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in a natural science or a comparable qualification in a laboratory environment.
• Extensive experience in laboratory organization and in conducting and evaluating laboratory analyses and test procedures.
• Proven knowledge of quality assurance processes and documentation-based work (e.g., according to QM/standard requirements).
• Confident work with laboratory equipment, measuring systems, and data-based evaluation, including understanding the technical correlations.
• Sound expertise in planning and managing workflows, priorities, and resources.
• Team-oriented leadership and communication skills, combined with clear, structured decision-making ability.
• Confident demeanor in dealing with interfaces (e.g., production, quality assurance, purchasing, external service providers).
• Independent, diligent, and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as a strong sense of quality.
• Good German language skills, written and spoken; English skills are an advantage.
