Laboratory Technician

Based at Perth Airport (Mon–Fri, 10am–6pm), you’ll conduct soil, water, and air analysis, ensuring accurate and timely results in a fast-paced lab environment. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Undertake routine preparations and analysis of soil and water samples.
• Ensure equipment and laboratory is kept clean to avoid contamination.
• Assist with data validation for technical reports (on the assigned tests trained as a validator).
• Carry out scheduled instrument calibration and maintenance in accordance with written procedures.
• Understand and adapt general laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements.
• Ensure that safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly and when necessary.
• Maintain and update skills, qualifications and knowledge through internal, external and on-the-job training/courses to support continuous development and improvement.
