Laboratory Technician

Description Road Science is New Zealand's leading designer and supplier of bitumen and bitumen-based products. We have world-class manufacturing plants and storage facilities for bitumen, emulsions, and polymer-modified binders. Road Science has five IANZ-accredited civil engineering laboratories, and a number of project-specific mobile laboratories. We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and technical-minded individual to enter the world of Laboratory Technicians. If you have a keen interest in chemistry, physics, or biology, and are looking for a challenging and rewarding career, then this could be the perfect role for you. As a Laboratory Technician at Road Science, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyses on bitumen and other materials to ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications. This will involve preparing samples, operating various pieces of equipment, and recording and interpreting results. You will also have the opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art laboratories, using a range of analytical techniques and instruments to analyze and test materials. In addition to your technical skills and knowledge, you will need to be able to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain accurate records.
