Laboratory & Product Safety Section Manager

Frigoglass Romania is hiring a Laboratory & Product Safety Section Manager within the Product Development department.

Main Role of the Position

Promotes laboratory capacity, plans resources, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, while ensuring effective collaboration with the Engineering, Quality, Production, Procurement, Suppliers, and external certification organizations departments. Is responsible for the development and consolidation of a high-performing laboratory, which will ensure the necessary support for global product development programs and allow for informed technical decisions based on solid validations.

Job Responsibilities

·   Coordinates laboratory activities, plans and allocates resources to support product development projects;

·   Develops validation strategies and ensures timely execution of laboratory activities;

·   Participates in laboratory-related projects or coordinates them until timely completion, utilizing project management skills;

·   Supports product certification and compliance with current regulations through effective validation;

·   Coordinates and develops laboratory teams, while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement;

·   Ensures the calibration, maintenance, and improvement of laboratory equipment capabilities;

·   Manages and optimizes capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operational expenditures (OPEX) related to product development initiatives and laboratory process improvements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering;

- Relevant experience in cooling systems, laboratory, and product safety in an industrial environment

- English language and IT skills: advanced level.
