Laboratory & Product Safety Section Manager

Frigoglass Romania is hiring a Laboratory & Product Safety Section Manager within the Product Development department.

Main Role of the Position

Promotes laboratory capability, resource planning, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, while ensuring efficient collaboration with the Engineering, Quality, Production, Procurement, Supplier departments, and external certification organizations. Is responsible for developing and strengthening a high-performing laboratory that provides the necessary support for global product development programs and enables informed technical decisions based on solid validations.

Responsibilities of the Position

·   Coordinates laboratory activities, planning, and resource allocation to support product development projects;

·   Develops validation strategies and ensures timely execution of laboratory activities;

·   Participates in or coordinates laboratory-related projects until their timely completion, utilizing project management skills;

·   Supports product certification and conformity with current regulations through effective validation;

·   Coordinates and develops laboratory teams, while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement;

·   Ensures calibration, maintenance, and improvement of laboratory equipment capabilities;

·   Manages and optimizes capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operational expenditures (OPEX) related to product development initiatives and laboratory process improvements;

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering;

- Relevant experience in refrigeration systems, laboratory, and product safety in an industrial environment

- English language and IT knowledge: advanced level.
