LABORATORY ASSISTANT - SBC/SP - FOOD

Description of the job

• Responsible for organizing and cleaning, receiving, registering, preparing, and filing samples that arrive at the laboratory according to established procedures by the direct supervisor;
• Respect the company's health, safety, and environmental values;
• Receive samples and register them in the internal laboratory system;
• Evaluate whether samples arrive in a condition suitable for analysis;
• Separate and send analyzed samples to the archive or discard when necessary;
• Prepare samples according to established procedures in the laboratory;
• Check electronic messages about sample shipments and confront data from messages with sample data;
• Prepare reagents and other supplies for analyses;
• Perform analyses following established procedures or known standards;
• Control laboratory stocks, providing information on the need for purchases;
• Organize and keep clean the preparation/laundry/laboratory room;
• Perform analyses and related activities under supervision;
