KYC Analyst (w/m/d)

Tangany, located in Munich, is an innovative technology company with a leading B2B solution for storing digital assets (e.g. cryptocurrencies, tokenized assets, NFTs) in blockchain networks. Our solution has already been used by more than 50 institutional customers. As a licensed financial institution, Tangany GmbH is regulated by the BaFin.

We are looking for a KYC Analyst (w/m/d) to strengthen our team.

Aufgaben

• Performance and documentation of due diligence in the context of KYC and KYB checks for new and existing customers, partners, and end-customers.
• Preparation and updating of risk analyses as well as support for customer risk assessment.
• Evaluation and documentation of AML, sanctions, and PEP checks, for example in the context of transaction and sanctions screenings.
• Preliminary review and processing of suspicious transactions in the area of money laundering and terrorism financing prevention.
• Support in reviewing withdrawal cases, especially in cases with unusual, pending, or escalated events.
• Presentation of case files for Senior KYC, Compliance, the Money Laundering Officer, or other internal escalation channels.
• Communication with partners and end-customers in the context of KYC, KYB, AML, and withdrawal processes.
• Processing and prioritization of customer and partner inquiries, especially in time-critical or regulatory relevant cases.
• Preliminary review and documentation of escalated AML, PEP, sanctions, and withdrawal cases with clear escalation to Senior KYC, Compliance, or the Money Laundering Officer.
• Support in preparing, maintaining, and developing processes, control plans, and measures in the department.
• Interdepartmental communication and steering of risk processes with Compliance, Digital Assets Operations, Tech, and Customer Operations.

Qualifikation

• Degree in economics, law, finance, or a comparable qualification.
• First-hand experience in the field of KYC, AML, Compliance, Financial Services, FinTech, cryptocurrencies, or customer service is an advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements for money laundering, sanctions, and financial services, such as GwG, MiCAR, EU Money Transfer Regulation, FATF, or BaFin guidelines and application notes is an advantage.
• Interest in digital assets, cryptocurrencies, and regulated financial processes.
• Analytical thinking and high attention to detail.
• Structured, reliable, and self-reliant work style.
• Good risk understanding and the ability to recognize critical cases accurately and escalate them in a timely manner.
• Communication skills when dealing with internal and external contacts.
• Very good German and English language skills (at least level C1).
• Willingness to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays in Bavaria as part of a planned shift model.

Note: For selected customer projects, we are building a planable weekend and holiday schedule to ensure reliable availability at critical times. In this position, there may be occasional scheduling on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. These assignments will be communicated in advance and take into account statutory provisions for working hours, rest periods, and compensation time.
