Job description

About Vestlane

Vestlane is the platform for onboarding, KYC/AML, and tax compliance for private market funds. Fund managers and fund administrators across Europe use Vestlane to handle their KYC, AML, and subscription processes, across more than 14 jurisdictions and throughout the entire investor lifecycle. We are certified and built for the regulatory reality of exciting acronyms – from GwG, BaFin, AMLR, RTS, CSSF to DORA, RAIF, AIFMD, MiFID, and many more.

Have you been doing sound and pragmatic KYC and AML work for years and are ready to take on more responsibility than the career ladder above you allows? Do you want to work with modern tools and AI at the cutting edge of technology in a dynamic team? Then this role is for you!

"KYC/AML Services" is Vestlane's newest team, providing operational KYC and AML work for fund and asset manager clients in Germany, the UK, and Luxembourg. You will work directly with our Head of KYC & AML Operations, taking on real responsibility from day one and having direct investor and client contact. You will actively shape your development path, based on success, rather than being driven by the next promotion cycle.

Your Responsibilities

  • Investor files from A to Z: You will conduct KYC checks, risk assessments, and enhanced due diligence for investors and assets in fund structures in Germany, the UK, and Luxembourg – using our AI-powered digital platform.

  • Process screening hits: You will evaluate and document hits from name, sanctions, and adverse media screening, and prepare clear, decision-ready assessments – using native AI agents.

  • Support clients' Money Laundering Reporting Officers: You will create escalation memos and reports to enable the Money Laundering Reporting Officers and Responsables du Contrôle of our clients to make decisions on a solid basis.

  • Help build the machine: You will actively contribute to the policies, checklists, QA standards, and tooling of our department. You will critically question, rethink processes. You want to understand KYC/AML as a business opportunity, not a burden.

  • Improve the product: You will identify areas where the Vestlane platform can make KYC work faster and safer, and implement this together with our product team.

Your Profile

  • At least 3 years of operational KYC/AML or comparable experience, for example at a Big 4 or audit firm, a fund administrator, a KYC/AML consultancy, or in the AML function of a fund or financial institution.

  • Sound knowledge of the German and Luxembourg legal frameworks: GwG and BaFin interpretation practice on one hand, CSSF requirements and Luxembourg AML law on the other. You know both worlds and understand where they differ. UK experience is a plus.

  • Experience with fund structures and their investors (institutional investors, companies, trusts, nested UBO chains). Private market experience is a strong plus.

  • Certifications (e.g., ACAMS, ICA) are welcome, but not a requirement.

  • Fluent German and English. French is helpful in Luxembourg, but not a condition.

  • Precision and judgment: You document cleanly, escalate at the right moment, and want your work to withstand any audit. At the same time, you are pragmatic; you know that risk consists of both "impact" and "likelihood.".

  • You see yourself as an entrepreneur within Vestlane, not just a checklist-ticker. You want responsibility today and leadership tomorrow, and you want to earn both by building something.

Benefits at Vestlane

  • Team member with a clear development path as the client base grows

  • Direct client contact from day one, no five levels between you and the people your work matters to

  • Competitive salary package

  • 30 days of vacation

  • Paid further training and certifications (e.g., ACAMS, ICA)

  • Office in Bonn

  • Flexible working hours and home office arrangements

  • A team that takes compliance seriously because compliance is the product, not a cost factor

Conclusion

We look forward to receiving your CV and a compelling cover letter. We will review your application personally and get back to you within two weeks.

The process is intentionally short and has three steps: a 30-minute introductory meeting to discuss you, your career path, and whether we are a good fit. Then, a 45-minute session with a practical task from the department's daily work, so you can see what awaits you and we can see how you work. Finally, a 30-minute meeting with management. In total, less than two hours of your time, and you will receive timely feedback after each step.
