As a crane operator on the business park at Van Happen Containers, you are responsible for the correct loading and unloading of the sorting line and our trucks.

Main tasks

You will operate both the crane and the loader with the best CAT equipment, and the main tasks include:

• Loading and unloading the trucks
• Sorting the different materials
• Keeping a close eye on the sorted material
• Daily maintenance of the machine
• Compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• You maintain speed in production
• Giving instructions to handpickers and forklift drivers
• Communication with the manager and supervisors of sorting and transshipment

The working hours are 5 days a week in staggered shifts between 06:00 and 19:00, taking into account the employee's wishes.

Team and location

The team is a close-knit team that knows what they are doing; several experienced operators work here on both the loader and the crane, handling several hundred tons per day together. Furthermore, the site is busy and hectic; no day is the same. The team is managed by our sorting and transshipment manager and the supervisors.
