Role Summary

KPMG is seeking an experienced Functional Product Owner to lead business-driven digital initiatives for Commercial and Corporate Banking clients. This role focuses on functional ownership of digital banking products and platforms, ensuring high-impact solutions across customer onboarding, online banking, mobile banking, and self-service channels.

This is a business-facing role, acting as a bridge between banking stakeholders and technology delivery teams within large-scale digital transformation programs, while ensuring regulatory compliance and superior client experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Own the functional vision, roadmap, and product backlog for Commercial / Corporate Banking digital products

· Define, prioritize, and refine business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria

· Ensure alignment with business objectives, customer experience goals, and regulatory requirements

· Lead functional initiatives across online banking, mobile banking, and self-service channels

· Support end-to-end digital customer onboarding journeys for corporate and commercial clients

· Drive adoption of digital channels and straight-through processing (STP)

· Provide functional leadership for pricing & billing, fees, and product configuration

· Support knowledge management tools and internal platforms for relationship managers and operations teams

· Ensure consistency and standardization across products and channels in a global banking environment

· Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, UX teams, technology, and delivery teams

· Facilitate workshops, backlog grooming sessions, sprint reviews, and functional sign-offs

· Support UAT, business validation, and go-live readiness from a functional perspective

· Engage with senior client stakeholders and steering committees

· Support consulting activities including solution design, estimations, and roadmap planning

· Ensure adherence to project governance, risk management, and compliance standards

Required Skills & Experience

· Minimum 10 years of experience in Commercial / Corporate Banking within global banks

· Proven experience as a Functional Product Owner, Product Manager, or Senior Business Analyst

· Strong understanding of digital banking channels (online banking, mobile banking, self-service)

· Hands-on experience in customer onboarding, KYC, and client lifecycle management

· Functional expertise in pricing & billing and product configuration

· Experience working in Agile / SAFe delivery environments

· Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field

· Prior experience in a consulting or professional services firm is preferred

Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have)

· CSPO / SAFe POPM or equivalent certification

· Banking or Digital Transformation certifications
