Are you interested in a varied job where you are constantly busy with (CNC) machining, welding, construction, and 3D printing? Then working in metalworking at the Defence Helicopter Command (DHC) is definitely for you!

What you will do

After your military training and vocational training, you will work as a corporal at the Defence Helicopter Command (DHC). As a Corporal Metalworking, you will become part of the 930 Maintenance and Logistics Squadron. This squadron supports the other squadrons in the area of Maintenance and Logistics, including fuels, ammunition, vehicle maintenance, metalworking/woodworking, and aircrew equipment.

As a Corporal Metalworking, you will perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ground equipment, and helicopters of the Air Force. The Air Force has various types of vehicles and ground equipment, such as generators, air conditioners, containers, and so on. In addition, you will perform various metalworking tasks for our helicopters. You will ensure that all vehicles and equipment are perfectly maintained, both correctively and preventively. It is your task to ensure that everything can be deployed!

Where you will work

You will work for the Defence Helicopter Command (DHC) and your duty station will be Gilze-Rijen Air Base. The unit collaborates with the entire Defence organization and regularly contributes to UN and NATO missions. In addition, the DHC contributes to a number of important national tasks, such as counter-terrorism and aerial firefighting. In total, approximately 1700 employees (civilians and military personnel) work at the DHC, ensuring that the Apache, Chinook, Cougar, and NH90 helicopters with their associated aircrew are always ready.
