Controller (m/w/d) in the Field of Plant Health in Import and Export

The Chamber of Agriculture Schleswig-Holstein – a public law corporation – is seeking a Controller (m/w/d) in the field of plant health in import and export for its department of crop production, plant protection, and environment at the earliest possible time. The position will initially be filled as a substitute due to illness. A permanent appointment is aimed at. The place of duty is Lübeck. The Chamber of Agriculture Schleswig-Holstein is responsible for implementing agricultural policy in the state of Schleswig-Holstein and provides advice, information, and services to farmers, agricultural businesses, and other stakeholders. The department of crop production, plant protection, and environment is responsible for issues related to plant health, crop protection, and environmental protection. The tasks of the Controller (m/w/d) will include: • Monitoring and controlling plant health in import and export; • Conducting inspections at farms, storage facilities, and other locations; • Verifying compliance with regulations and standards; • Providing advice and information to farmers, agricultural businesses, and other stakeholders; • Maintaining records and databases; • Collaborating with other departments and authorities. The ideal candidate should have: • A degree in agriculture, biology, or a related field; • Experience in plant health, crop protection, or environmental protection; • Knowledge of regulations and standards related to plant health; • Good communication and organizational skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
