Construction Engineer (m/w/d)
Job description
An innovative machinery manufacturing company in Freiburg is looking for a Construction Engineer to develop precision solutions for industrial applications. With a focus on special machines, photovoltaics, semiconductors, and electronics manufacturing, the company creates installations that enable printing and dosing of fine structures under 30 micrometers at high speed. As a Construction Engineer, you will develop components and assemblies that are used worldwide – technologically challenging, practice-oriented, and always with the goal of making processes more efficient and sustainable. Tasks
- As Construction Engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative special solutions in machinery manufacturing.
- You will develop precise assemblies and integrate new components for automated high-tech systems.
- In close coordination with application and production, you will improve existing products and processes specifically.
- You will create production-ready technical drawings and parts lists with a focus on feasibility and quality.
- You will document technical documents in a clear and up-to-date manner.
- You will analyze complex technical challenges and develop functional, practice-oriented solutions for them.
- The coordination with internal departments and external partners regarding procurement, production, and assembly also belongs to your area of responsibility.
- You will intensively familiarize yourself with dispensing and coating technologies and build specialized knowledge accordingly.
- You will lead part projects in the areas of development and construction independently to a goal.
- In your daily work as a Construction Engineer, you will use digital tools and modern workflows to efficiently implement your ideas.
Qualification
- A completed degree in the field of mechanical engineering or construction is a prerequisite. Related study programs with strong relevance to construction can also be suitable – depending on practical experience.
- You have at least five years of professional experience, ideally in an industrial environment with a mechanical focus.
- You are proficient in Autodesk Inventor Professional – or comparable CAD systems like SolidWorks or Creo.
- You are familiar with PDM systems and use them routinely in the construction process.
- Your knowledge of mechanics and manufacturing processes is solid and practice-oriented.
- You work precisely and safely with tolerance analyses.
- You have very good German and English skills (at least C1) in both written and spoken form.
- You are team-oriented, communicative, and willing to work together with others.
- Creative and critical thinking help you develop functional solutions.
- As a Construction Engineer, you bring curiosity and motivation with you to quickly and deeply learn about new topics.
- Your working style is structured, solution-oriented, and self-responsible.
- You use MS Office – especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint – securely in your project work.
