Job description
MESSTEC Power Converter GmbH is an innovative technology company in Penzberg, which has been developing high-quality electronic solutions for industrial applications for almost 50 years. We are driving one of the most exciting innovations in the electronics industry forward: a ultrasonic separation process that disassembles components from printed circuit boards vibrationally - gently, selectively, and precisely.
This High-Tech project revolutionizes electronic recycling: instead of shredding, we enable true component reuse and higher material yield for the first time. In close cooperation with the University of Stuttgart (Vibrations Mechanics / Sonotrode Geometry) we are looking for a technically excellent individual who will shape this project from simulation to prototype.
Tasks
- Setup and execution of CAD and FEA simulations throughout all project phases (foundations → research → implementation)
- Definition of simulation goals, experimental strategies, and model concepts
- Evaluation, validation, and plausibility of the simulation results
- Deduction of technical construction specifications and CAD design of the prototype
- Simulation of mechanical and acoustic interactions (Sonotrode geometry, ultrasonic 20-40 kHz)
- Responsibility for plate tension, holding systems, and positioning mechanics
- Tight cooperation with the University of Stuttgart
Qualification
- Completed studies in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or comparable
- Mult-year practical experience in 3D-CAD (e.g. Inventor, SolidWorks, Catia, NX)
- Fundamental experience in FEA tools (e.g. COMSOL, ANSYS, Simulia, SimCenter, Hyperworks)
- Routine in model validation, parameter optimization, and result analysis
- Understanding of mechanical, mechatronic, and electrical interactions
- Pleasure in research, prototype development, and interdisciplinary cooperation
Benefits
- Participation in a genuine technological breakthrough for sustainable electronic recycling
- Tight cooperation with the University of Stuttgart
- Use of modern technologies: ultrasonic, FEA simulation, Fourier vibration analysis
- Flat hierarchies and fast decision-making paths
- Long-term perspective in a growing company
- Familiar working climate in an interdisciplinary team
If you love technical complexity, precision, and want to contribute to a genuine technological innovation - apply! We look forward to your application
