Communications Manager at nebenan.de Foundation

Your Tasks

We are looking for a full-time Communications Manager in Berlin to start as soon as possible.

• You will independently manage the communication for the projects of the foundation, particularly for the large annual initiatives “Neighborhood Day”, “German Neighborhood Prize” and “Climate Protection nebenan”
• You are responsible for continuously filling social media channels and taking care of content creation, editorial planning, and developing new format ideas and communication strategies.
• You will write texts for various purposes such as press releases, project documentation, concepts, presentations.
• You will speak with media representatives and journalists and try to place the foundation's topics.
• You are actively involved in the development and implementation of digital and analog marketing measures, such as ads, out-of-home campaigns, etc., and coordinate with external agencies.
• We work closely with the innovative nebenan.de network. You will also take this into account in your communication for the foundation.
• You will actively participate and contribute your own ideas to the development of new initiatives by our foundation.

Your Profile

• A completed university degree
• First professional experience in the communications field, e.g., in PR, political communication or journalism, ideally at a communications agency
• Knowledge in the area of press and public relations work as well as versatility and creativity in all instruments and methods of digital communication, particularly social media
• Text security and good verbal expression skills
• A strong interest in (digital) media and societal or political topics, a sense for communicative trends
• Safe handling of standard computer programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, database software, content management systems, and programs for content creation, e.g., Canva
• A very meticulous, self-reliant working style, high organizational skills, and willingness to take responsibility
• A high level of initiative, quick understanding, and flexibility
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills
