Knowledge Associate - Automotive Materials

Job description

Although the role is based at our Italian office, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in advancing compliance knowledge for engineered materials within the automotive industry, supporting our prestigious customers to meet global regulatory requirements and sustainability goals. Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on physical, mechanical, and chemical properties of metals, polymers, and batteries, as mandated by international regulations and standards. Provide guidance on: * Material selection and application in automotive components * Regulatory compliance, including REACH, RoHS, ELV, and others * Sustainability assessments and life cycle analysis (LCA) related to automotive materials Your Responsibilities will include: * Conducting in-depth research on materials used in automotive manufacturing. * Analyzing data and preparing reports on material properties, regulatory compliance, and sustainability aspects. * Providing technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams. * Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in materials science, automotive regulations, and sustainability practices. * Supporting the development of knowledge resources and training materials. * Contributing to the improvement of internal processes and workflows. Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. * Proven experience in automotive materials or a similar industry. * Solid understanding of material properties, testing methods, and manufacturing processes. * Familiarity with automotive regulations (e.g., REACH, RoHS, ELV) and sustainability standards. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential. Fluency in Italian is a plus.
