Job Description As a customer accountant, you will be responsible for the complete management of customer accounting and the follow-up of a significant client portfolio. You will actively contribute to optimizing cash flow, and thanks to your analyses, you will support the business.
Your main responsibilities are:
You will join an enthusiastic team of 7 customer accountants. Additionally, you will work closely with colleagues from operations & business.
Depending on your place of residence, you will work from one of our offices in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, or Hasselt. During the first 6 months, training will take place in Brussels. After that, you will be expected at the head office in Brussels once a week.

Job Description As a customer accountant, you will be responsible for the complete management of customer accounting and the follow-up of a significant client portfolio. You will actively contribute to optimizing cash flow, and thanks to your analyses, you will support the business.
Your main responsibilities are:
- You manage customer accounting from invoicing and payments to reconciliation and follow-up of outstanding balances, entirely according to Belgian accounting standards.
- You are responsible for efficient cash collection and manage disputes, credit notes, and anomalies.
- You conduct customer analyses regarding profitability, payment behavior, and margins, and identify opportunities to optimize pricing and payment terms.
- You participate in monthly and annual closings and ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
- You support internal and external audits with the necessary expertise and documentation.
- You will be the point of contact for customer-related financial questions.
- You actively contribute to process improvements and more efficient working methods within the department.

Profile
- You have obtained a bachelor's degree in accountancy and have already gained several years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- You communicate fluently and professionally in both Dutch and French.
- You have a very good knowledge of Excel and a good knowledge of ERP and accounting systems.
- You are an organizational talent and work proactively, accurately, and results-oriented.
- You have strong analytical insight and can interpret figures clearly.
- A full-time contract of indefinite duration averaging 36 hours/week. We value a good work-life balance and achieve this by providing 24 ADV (consecutive day off) days in addition to the 20 legal vacation days.
