Do you want to further develop yourself within the insurance world and help customers at moments when they truly need it? As a Claims Advisor at KCD, you will handle claims for Interpolis Private Clients. You will assist customers after, for example, a collision, water damage, or storm damage to their home and ensure that their claim is handled carefully and correctly.

You will have the opportunity to develop into a specialist in non-life insurance. You will learn to analyze complex claim files, apply policy conditions, and independently assess whether a claim falls within the coverage. You will start entirely at the office in Leeuwarden, where you will receive intensive guidance during your onboarding period. Once you master the role independently and your results are at the required level, you will work hybrid and can work from home for a maximum of 2 days per week.

As a Claims Advisor at KCD, you are the first point of contact for customers who report a claim or have questions about their non-life insurance policy. You listen carefully to the customer's story, map out the situation, and investigate what is needed to reach a suitable solution.

Your tasks include:

• Assessing and handling claims from Interpolis Private Clients;

• Analyzing claim files and researching relevant information;

• Testing claims against the applicable policy conditions;

• Independently assessing whether a claim is covered or not;

• Providing customers with explanations by phone regarding the assessment and handling of their claim;

• Explaining complex information in a clear, understandable, and empathetic manner;

• Guiding customers through the claims process and ensuring a suitable solution;

• When necessary, transferring or referring customers to the correct department.

In addition to customer contact, you also actively work on your own development and that of the team:

• During your onboarding period, you will receive intensive guidance from an experienced buddy;

• You will have regular contact with a coach to further develop your knowledge and skills;

• You will work with colleagues and discuss complex situations and files;

• You will receive feedback and use it to further develop yourself;

• You will learn to assess and handle claim files with increasing independence.

During your onboarding period, you will be trained step by step to become a Claims Advisor. For the first 5 weeks, you will follow a full-time training course at the office in Leeuwarden, from Monday to Friday. During this period, you will learn the systems, processes, and content of the role and will be intensively guided by your buddy and colleagues. Therefore, we ask you not to plan any vacation during this period.

Once you have successfully completed the training and can work independently, you will work hybrid. You will then work from home for a maximum of 2 days per week, and the remaining days at the office in Leeuwarden.

At KCD, you will have ample opportunities to develop yourself within the insurance world. You will be trained internally and receive intensive guidance from experienced colleagues during your start-up period. You will learn the trade primarily in practice and will be given the space to become increasingly independent in handling claim files.

Additionally, we offer you:

• A gross hourly wage of €18,-;

• A direct contract with KCD;

• Availability of at least 28 and a maximum of 40 hours per week;

• An intensive and fully paid 5-week onboarding period at the office in Leeuwarden;

• Personal guidance and coaching during and after your onboarding period;

• Once you work independently: the possibility to work from home for a maximum of 2 days per week;

• A home office allowance for the days you work from home;

• Full mileage reimbursement for your office days;

• No external Wft exams: you will be trained internally and practically for this role;

As a Claims Advisor, you are analytical, customer-oriented, and eager to learn. You find it interesting to get to the bottom of situations and get energized by finding the right solution. At the same time, you understand that customers often face unpleasant or unexpected situations during a claim. Therefore, you know how to explain complex information in a calm, clear, and empathetic manner.

Additionally, you bring:

• MBO 4 work and thinking level;

• Experience in a customer-oriented or administrative environment, for example within hospitality, retail, customer service, business services, or customer contact;

• Good analytical skills and the interest to delve into complex files;

• Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written;

• Good communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly;

• A great deal of eagerness to learn and the motivation to further develop yourself;

• You can work independently, but also enjoy consulting with colleagues;

• Availability of at least 28 and a maximum of 40 hours per week;

• Availability for a full-time, 5-week onboarding period, Monday to Friday.
