POSITION
Kitchen Steward
LOCATION
Private Estate, Jordan
The Client will arrange the work visa and relocation if not local
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Kitchen Steward will support the catering team by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in all kitchen and food preparation areas. They will work closely with the senior chefs to ensure operational needs are met and contribute to the smooth running of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role within a high-standard kitchen or catering environment
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Familiarity with HACCP food safety and hygiene standards
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented approach
- Flexibility to work across different areas and shifts as required
- Liaise with senior chefs on duty to meet operational requirements
- Assist with food preparation and service, ensuring quality, freshness, and timely delivery
- Follow instructions from senior staff carefully and execute tasks efficiently and responsibly
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all food preparation areas, in line with HACCP requirements
- Adhere to personal hygiene and grooming standards at all times
- Report on time for duty in the correct uniform
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any faults or maintenance needs to the chef in charge
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance at all times
- Monitor stock movement and be responsible for assigned kitchen sections
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist in all areas of the kitchen as required
- USD $600 per month (subject to tax)
