Kitchen Helper

• Assist in Food & Nutrition lessons: prepare ingredients, portion food, and support students and teachers during practical classes.

• Use and maintain kitchen equipment, including cookers, ovens, grills, microwaves, blenders, mixers, steamers, and washing machines.

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, including washing utensils, cleaning floors, sinks, and equipment, and proper storage of food and utensils.

• Monitor stock of perishables, dry goods, and kitchen supplies; assist in stock-taking.

• Perform weekly, holiday, and start-of-term kitchen duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Basic English proficiency.

• Ability to handle food safely and use kitchen appliances.

• Relevant school kitchen experience preferred.

10 months contract (5 Jan 2026 to 23 Oct 2026)

Maximum 6 hours a day (flexible start and end timing depending on the
last class for the day).
Total number of hours: 858 estimated
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public
holidays.
