Your responsibilities

• Supervision and ensuring the execution of activities that ensure high production parameters
• Developing a breeding strategy and implementing modern technologies
• Management and supervision of animal nutrition, health, and reproduction systems
• Precise planning of breeding activities
• Supervision over maintaining appropriate animal living conditions and hygiene standards
• Ongoing animal selection and marking
• Organizing and supervising animal turnover
• Supervision of livestock buildings
• Maintaining breeding documentation
• Analysis of production efficiency and preparation of reports
• Supervision over compliance of breeding processes with regulations
• Developing the breeding budget and monitoring operating costs
• Maintaining and managing relationships with suppliers, customers, and supervisory institutions
• Cooperation with veterinary inspection and agricultural organizations
• Organizing work and supervising personnel employed with the animal herd,

Our requirements

• higher education in the field of: animal science, veterinary science,
• commitment and willingness to specialize in the field of pig farming,
• knowledge and observance of regulations regarding working with animals and regulations in force at the plant,
• ability to act independently and responsibly to fulfill the assigned scope of duties,
• systematic approach and accuracy (good organization of own work)
• experience in pig farming is welcome,
• computer literacy,
• availability,
• driving license cat. B,

The Experimentation Plant of the National Research Institute of Animal Production PIB Żerniki Wielkie Ltd. commenced its operations on June 25, 1999. The Plant's mission is to provide services for research topics commissioned by the National Research Institute of Animal Production, to supply pig breeders with high-value breeding material in the form of stress-free gilts of the WBP and PBZ breeds and their crosses, as well as to produce large and uniform batches of pork of high carcass value. The most important part of the research work carried out concerns xenotransplantation issues. The farm's scientific and research base enables research in the fields of animal reproduction biotechnology, animal production technology, ecology and economics, animal nutrition and feed science, and animal genetics and breeding.
