Automotive Technician for Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (m/w/d)

Your task is to support our workshop location in Schönefeld in the area of maintenance, testing, and repair of GSE. Only when our customers can operate their aircraft ground handling with high-quality and reliable GSE are we satisfied.

Your tasks in detail

• Carrying out preventive maintenance measures, fluid changes, and fault diagnosis
• Diagnostics and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on the equipment
• Paying attention to accident prevention regulations (BG Verkehr)
• Performing maintenance, inspection, and maintenance work on vehicles and machines to ensure their functionality and safety
• Diagnostics and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on the equipment
• Documentation of all completed repair and maintenance work in the corresponding system
• Operating GSE, utility vehicles, and passenger cars/kleintransporters for functional control
• Conducting test drives
• Loading and unloading (including load securing) as well as accompanying transport and airport personnel

Your profile

• Completed vocational training as a mechanic in the automotive, utility vehicle, or construction machinery sector, or equivalent qualification or relevant work experience
• Fundamental knowledge of control engineering and electrical engineering, as well as the ability to read circuit diagrams safely
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• A high level of engagement, reliability, and developed teamwork skills
• Good communication skills in German and English for passing on information and collaborating with the team
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and technical standards
• Driver's license class B; additional driver's licenses are advantageous
• Prior condition for obtaining a airport security badge according to § 7 LuftSiG as well as an airport driver's license
• Ideal: Possession of a forklift operator's certificate
• Desirable: Qualification in the area of 2S to 3S (High Voltage)
