We are looking for several employees* for the Omnibus Vehicle Workshops. Permanent position in full-time (37.5 hours) or part-time, remuneration according to pay group 8 TV-N Berlin (€3,713.52 - €4,089.33), depending on professional experience. Work location: One of our depots Britz, Cicerostraße, Indira-Gandhi-Straße, Müllerstraße, Lichtenberg, or Spandau.

Job Description

You will be responsible for maintenance and repair work on our diesel and electric buses. With your commitment and effort, you will ensure that the vehicles are in perfect condition on Berlin's streets every day and that our passengers can be safely transported from A to B. Your tasks in detail:

• You will perform system and fault analyses as well as diagnostic work using various measuring, testing, and inspection equipment (e.g., manufacturer diagnostic systems, computer-aided systems, and other inspection equipment). You will evaluate and document the results.
• You will carry out inspections on vehicles, devices, and components (e.g., vehicle control, air conditioning control, door electronics).
• You will investigate technical causes for vehicle or device faults and develop solutions for corrective and preventive measures in eliminating or reducing error sources.
• You will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of high-voltage systems in buses.
• You will write work and test instructions and, if appropriately qualified, carry out test and acceptance drives.

Qualifications

• Completed technical vocational training (e.g., as a mechatronics technician, automotive electrician, electronics technician for industrial engineering or integration and system technology, or a comparable vocational training with knowledge in automotive technology/electronics)
• Knowledge of maintenance processes and electronic vehicle systems
• Willingness to work shifts (including weekends and public holidays)
