Key Stock Manager

Description RPO Recruitment's client, a reputable Civil Engineering Construction Company, is looking for a skilled Key Stock Manager to join their team in Gauteng. Responsibilities Manage and maintain accurate stock inventory levels Monitoring stock movement, analyzing trends, and making forecasting decisions Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse staff, and other teams to ensure efficient stock management Implement and develop stock control policies and procedures Identify and resolve any stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions Ensure that all stock is stored correctly and safely, in accordance with company policies and procedures Conduct regular stock takes and audits to ensure the accuracy of stock records Manage and oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatch of stock to various sites and departments Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices and terms Research and recommend new suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure that they meet the company's requirements Train and supervise stock control staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they perform their duties effectively Manage and reconcile stock records, ensuring that they are accurate and up-to-date Generate reports on stock levels, stock movement, and stock value to inform management decisions Implement and maintain a system for managing and tracking the use of tools and equipment, ensuring that they are available and in good working order Identify and implement improvements to stock management processes, ensuring that they are efficient and effective Skills and Experience At least 5 years of experience in stock management, preferably in the construction industry Strong knowledge of stock control principles and practices Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in using stock management software and Microsoft Office applications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and other stakeholders Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures pertaining to the storage and handling of stock Qualifications Matric Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field would be advantageous Valid driver's license If you meet the above requirements and are interested in the position, please submit your CV.
