The Key Account Manager (Relationship & Retention Specialist) plays a pivotal role in strengthening client relationships, maximising account value, and driving repeat and cross-property business across the RACV Conferences & Events portfolio.

This could be just the right role for you? This role combines strategic account management with a commercial focus on retention, rebooking, upselling, and new business. Working collaboratively with Business Development Manager, National Sales Manager and property-based teams, the Key Account Manager will ensure RACV is positioned as the preferred partner for conference and event clients through proactive relationship management, tailored engagement, and exceptional service continuity.

Your key responsibilities for the role include: Manage a defined portfolio of key corporate, government, and agency accounts across the RACV Group. Develop and execute tailored account plans to strengthen partnerships, maximise lifetime value, and ensure ongoing retention. Lead the rebooking process post-event to secure repeat business and strengthen account continuity. Identify and convert growth opportunities within existing accounts and proactively seek new accounts, including multi-property bookings, upgraded experiences, and program expansion. Deliver the RACV VIP client engagement program and loyalty tier initiatives, ensuring meaningful and value-based client touchpoints.

What you’ll need to be successful Minimum 5 years’ experience in hospitality, hotel, or conference & events sales, preferably in key account or relationship management. Proven success in managing high-value accounts and achieving revenue growth through retention and upsell. Strong commercial acumen and understanding of C&E market dynamics. Strong understanding & application of effective customer management and service standards Ability to understand and interpret contract terms and conditions. Proven record in client relationship and database management Excellent written & verbal communication skills
