Key Account Manager – Automotive Industry
Job description
We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to join our team and play a critical role in maintaining and developing strong, long-term relationships with our key customers in the automotive sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing company revenue by ensuring customer satisfaction, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting strategic projects. This role requires both a strong commercial mindset and the ability to understand technical requirements specific to automotive manufacturing.
Responsibilities- Build, develop, and maintain solid long-term relationships with key customers while also identifying and developing new client opportunities.
- Act as the main point of contact between customers and internal teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments (engineering, production, quality, logistics) to ensure customer needs are met.
- Understand and present to customers the company’s core processes: injection molding, painting, chrome plating, assembly, and the full product range.
- Manage and develop customer accounts for existing and new projects, contributing to business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and lead price negotiations, manage change requests and claims, and ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Analyze customer requirements, including 2D drawings and CAD data, and prepare tailored solutions.
- Provide regular reports on account progress, forecasts, and opportunities.
- Contribute actively to strategic sales and revenue planning by understanding market trends and customer needs.
- Ensure timely execution of projects and fulfillment of contractual commitments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in strategic account management, ideally in the automotive industry.
- Strong portfolio of measurable customer relationships.
- Solid knowledge of business, finance, and project management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong technical understanding and ability to interpret 2D drawings and CAD data.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Resilient, results-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.
- Strong leadership skills with a customer-first mindset.
