Commercial Leader (m/w/d) | Hamburg | Unlimited Fixed-Term Position

We are looking for an experienced person for the commercial leadership with a focus on finance for a well-established, medium-sized company from a technically-industrial environment with approximately 90 employees.

The position is deliberately broad and strongly operationally focused. You will be responsible for the essential financial processes of the company and work closely with the management team and adjacent departments, including procurement and HR. Due to the compact team structure, this role is not a classical delegation position. Rather, we are looking for a person who takes responsibility, drives topics forward, and actively works in the daily business. The task is particularly suitable for candidates who appreciate a general financial environment, enjoy working close to operational processes, and have fun developing structures, workflows, and transparency within the company.

Aufgaben

• Responsibility for operational financial, accounting, and controlling processes
• Preparation or coordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
• Ensuring ongoing bookkeeping and orderly financial processes
• Creation of evaluations, reports, deviation analyses, and business economic decision-making bases
• Budgeting, forecasting, and liquidity planning in close coordination with the management team
• Active participation in daily business, particularly in accounting-related, controlling-related, and process-oriented questions
• Coordination of procurement and HR
• Further development of financial processes, internal controls, and reporting structures
• Participation in system, process, and optimization projects
• Contact person for tax consultants, auditors, banks, and other external partners
• Factual and/or disciplinary integration of a small team, with the focus clearly on own operational implementation

Qualifikation

• Completed business administration studies or comparable financial qualification
• Multiple years of experience in finance and accounting, ideally in controlling
• Experience in a producing, technical, or medium-sized company environment is advantageous
• Very good understanding of bookkeeping, statements, cost accounting, planning, and reporting
• Safe handling of ERP systems and MS Office, particularly Excel
• Experience in collaboration with management team, procurement, and operational departments
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to take on topics not just to steer but also to implement
• Structured, reliable, and analytical working style
• Communication strength, pragmatism, and entrepreneurial thinking
• Pleasure in small teams, short decision-making paths, and a broad range of tasks
