If you’re an experienced administrator with a passion for supporting excellence in education and Māori values, we’ve got the job for you!

As Senior Administrator – Ako (Senior Administrator – Ako), you’ll provide high-quality, comprehensive administrative support to the Aukaha Ako – Takiwā Delivery, a senior leader who is also based in Māngere. In this key role, you will:

  • Coordinate calendars, hui, and travel arrangements.
  • Manage Takiwā Academic Committee administration and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Lead and support administration teams across the takiwā to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
  • Look for opportunities to help you and your team work smarter.
  • Facilitate effective communication and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Assist with project coordination when required.


About you

To this role, you’ll bring your outstanding relationship management and communication skills, your highly organised nature, ability to stay calm under pressure along with:

  • 4+ years senior-level administration experience and 2+ years supervisory experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • A commitment to Te Kaupapa Matua o Te Wānanga o Aotearoa and engagement in cultural practices.
