This role will further embed our commitment to working with Iwi Māori under Te Tiriti and grow its influence and importance in Stats NZ to positively increase our engagement with Iwi Māori in the data system. You will provide intensive advice, brokering and facilitation of Partnerships between the organisation and Iwi Māori. This role would suit someone who can: * Build and hold relationships with iwi, hapū, whānau and Māori organisations - including Post‑Settlement Governance Entities (PSGEs) * Uphold and actively apply the Mana Ōrite relationship principles and the Statistics Act 2022, modelling public service values in all interactions * Identify and progress data partnership opportunities with Māori (iwi, NGOs, trusts, entities) that deliver tangible value for Māori data outcomes * and raise or escalate system blockers to improve process and practice * Drive Māori‑Crown outcomes through analysis, clear comms and system‑wide influence * Demonstrate mātauranga Māori, fluency in te reo, understanding of tikanga and applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi in a work setting own capability * Demonstrate a willingness to upskill and increase your cultural capability Nōu te rourou | What you bring We understand transferable skills can come from experience gained from outside of work.
