The Office of Correctional Services (AJV) Grisons is a service of the Department of Justice, Security, and Health of the Canton of Grisons. The AJV is responsible for the execution of sentences and measures, as well as the implementation of various forms of detention. In Grisons, the execution of sentences and measures is regulated as a unified thematic area and holistic task, in which various professional groups work interdisciplinarily with offenders to prevent further delinquency.

To strengthen our legal department, we are seeking a legal professional by agreement.

Your Areas of Responsibility
  • Legal support for correctional facilities and specialist areas in fulfilling their tasks
  • Independent clarification and assessment of legal issues as well as advising specialist areas
  • Creation and review of official notices
  • Review and support in the creation and revision of internal directives, disciplinary regulations, house rules, and contracts
  • Conducting appeal proceedings
  • Participation in projects (e.g., legislative and ordinance revisions, consultations, and drafting of departmental decrees and government decisions)
What We Expect From You
  • Completed law degree (Licentiate or MLaw)
  • Preferably professional experience in the judiciary or public administration
  • Independent, structured, and precise way of working, as well as enjoyment in handling diverse legal issues
  • Very good written and oral communication skills in German; additional knowledge of the cantonal languages and foreign languages is an advantage
  • Enjoyment of teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
