Lawyer:in with Focus on Contract Law (m/w/d)

The Medical University of Vienna, with around 6,500 employees and 8,600 students, is one of the largest biomedical research and teaching institutions in Europe. The Management and Service Unit for Law and Compliance is seeking a lawyer:in with focus on contract law (m/w/d) from March 1, 2026, full-time (40 hours per week) and unlimited. Legal consulting and support for researchers and university leadership in all areas of contract law, including the drafting and review of contracts, as well as the development of legal frameworks and guidelines. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing expert advice on legal matters related to research collaborations, intellectual property, and data protection. In addition, the lawyer:in will support the university's compliance with relevant laws and regulations, such as those related to funding and grants. The position requires a strong understanding of contract law, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, and to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
