Lawyer in the Technology Sector Permanent position Organization and Informatics The Organization and Informatics (OIZ) is the IT competence center of the City of Zurich. As part of the Legal Department, you will support our organization in the legal accompaniment of digital transformation and the city's IT infrastructure. Tasks * You will be responsible for resolving contractual, procurement, administrative, and data protection law issues in the digitalization environment, as well as selectively from other legal areas (public personnel law, criminal law). * You will accompany procurement law procedures, be responsible for clarifying data protection law issues, and draft and review contracts with suppliers. * You will advise management and specialist departments on all digitalization-relevant legal questions, create and revise regulations, ordinances, and OIZ internal guidelines, and represent the OIZ in city working groups. * You will support projects and clarify legal aspects in the area of digitalization and new technologies (e.g., Cloud Computing, Blockchain, AI). * You will accompany political initiatives, particularly postulates, motions, and inquiries from the municipal council and its commissions, and draft and review financial and procurement law rulings and applications. Profile * Completed studies in law (MLaw or lic. iur.); a bar admission is an advantage. * Administrative, judicial, or equivalent experience, preferably with relevant activity in the IT/digitalization environment. * Understanding and interest in political processes, as well as a flair for clear and legally sound implementation of complex issues, affinity for digitalization. * Precise, independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style, resilient personality, analytical skills, networked thinking, strong communication skills, negotiation skills, and flexibility. * Leadership experience, experience in managing complex projects are an advantage. * Fluent oral and written communication in German and English; Austrian knowledge is an advantage.
